Hi Matt...For Fruit Basket autographs its saying on twitter retweet that you have to buy a DVD in order to have first come first serve chance to get an autograph with the any of the cast members. Is there going to be some other arrangement where your can either get an autograph or something like that?  Down know?  Thanks

      I believe they are putting together an announcement/update to clarify how the autographs are going to work for these autographs as it seems there is a bit of confusion on them.

      Thank you Matt. I did see the new posting of the autographs. Than you for your help. I still believe that this is very unfair to the membership that Funimation placed DVD purchase conditions on autographs so close  to the convention. The opportunity appears for Funimation to sell many DVD’s over the 50 meet opportunities offered. While other talent will offer the usual autograph opportunities. If we look at it on behalf of the members who can’t afford to buy the $64 dvd, we see how unfair this was to exclude them from getting an autograph with their favorite celebrity. The talent should be available in some way at some point to all the members.

    On-site sales of preferred admission concert tickets?

    Assuming inventory remains, preferred pass sales are set to stop 4 hours before each respective concert. This is to give us time to prepare adequately for the number of people with passes. This cutoff is subject to change as we get feedback from the WEWCC on setup and lining arrangements. I do not believe there are plans to offer in-person sales for the passes. The ShowClix page is likely to be the only place to get them.

    In short nothing was changed. As part of a package, space on our website was reserved for advertisement/sponsorship acknowledgement. Much like how someone might buy a half-page in the program book to advertise something.

    Preferred Seating Clarification

    The general way the seating will work is similar to last year where the VIP folks will be seated first, then the Preferred seating folks, and then open seating. The idea with the Preferred seating is to offer folks a chance to not have to line up 2+ hours before the concert to get a seat. While there may be some small advantage to waiting in line early with a Preferred seating pass, it should not be as critical. The actual times someone should show up to get in with their VIP and Preferred seating for each concert are being worked out now as we are sorting out line arrangements, but I imagine it will end up along the lines of what we did last year where VIP pass holders will be told to show up 45-30 minutes before the concert to be seated, preferred pass holders will be let in next 35-20 minutes before the concert, and then everyone else. In terms of numbers there are 100 VIP seats, up to 400 Preferred seats, and depending on where some of the sound gear ends up roughly 1,500 open/first-come first-served seats for each concert.

    While I know the answer to this, I don't know if we've been cleared to say. Last year we had 100 VIP passes per concert if that helps...

    Did you (and the rest of the Board) see Jen's post on Facebook which was also supposedly sent to the BoD?  It sounds like she has something huge in the works for today and wants Otakon's support in it. I like Flury's post in that Facebook thread.

    If for some reason your badge is not listed with a tracking number by now please contact our help desk team through help.otakon.com We are tracking problems as they develop and plan to use this info to improve the process for next year. On the bright side I can say with some certainty that most of the badges were delivered without issue. However, I do acknowledge that most is not all.

    Please take a moment and log into the members area on the Otakon website and check your tracking number. If there is no tracking number or you find another issue, let us know through our help desk (help.otakon.com) and we will see what we can do.

    So my guess is that this particular package got mangled by a mail sorting machine. That being said, the badge IDs on the badges we sent out are tied to your membership IDs, just like the badges one would pick up at Otakon. So in effect it doesn't matter what you write on it, since we know the badge ID a person should have if it becomes necessary to challenge veracity.

    So I have the last batch of tracking numbers in my email, I'll have to wait till closer to lunch time to upload them since the job that pays me has priority while I'm at work. That being said we've been noting various issues (positive and negative) with how this first year roll out played out and in theory they will be used to make next year's process easier and more straightforward.

    So I've been uploading the tracking info as it comes in, which has so far been in one or two files at the close of the day. Pretty much if you just pick a time to check each day, it will either be there or not. As for changing your ZIP code, by now it is far too late to update the packages, although for what it's worth we have been checking the addresses as we've been going through them and fixing ones that are obviously wrong. Personally, I'm a bit surprised by the number of people who neglected to include their street name in their badge mailing address. Anyhow, we have been tracking how some things worked this year, and plan to implement a couple changes to make things easier on you and us for next year.

    As soon as I get the info about the mailed badges, it will go up on the site. I can understand that they don't want to give us a handful of files when 1 will do, but I will ping them for an update.
