Honestly, not worth the 2 hours I waited in line (only to be about 150 places back in line to boot). However, I'll give the panelists the benefit of the doubt and actually believe that one of the key members had to be rushed to the hospital (by another key member) due to food poisoning. well we can't book until we all talk and get everything figured out, and i can't get in contact with them for about a week, so i can't book, and i end up hotel-less like right now but i suppose lower prices are always worth it. i'll work it out in the end but i'm still going!!! i even know my cosplay for next year!!

well we'll see what happens hopefully i can stay at a hotel this year ok, need this answered (preferable by a mod or someone of the like): the Sheraton City Center (formerly Wyndham) hasn't been listed yet, right? 'cause if not, i'm going to try to wait for that and book that thanks! biggrin.gif

What the Admin has indicated (but I'm sure they'll be more than happy to speak for themselves) is that any hotels that they sign a contract with would be available through the PassKey site. By clicking on the link on the Otakon site you'd get all the available hotels for the dates you're looking for. Another advantage is as folks cancel reservations the rooms would go right back into the pool for everyone to pick from. There is a number listed on the passkey site and others on the boards have mentioned that they were able to call & book over the phone. Just trying to help...

man, this sucks, because i can't get in contact with my crew this soon after the con...... is the Days Inn really sold out as of now? and will Otakon still have a list of hotels like in the past years? or is this the only way to do it?

YES!! i cringed a little bit everytime i threw my Propel or Dr. Pepper bottles in the trash can the tiny extra walk would totally be worth it

Just out of curiosity, why not? XD Just because I've seen tons of videos with hundreds of people doing it. Because it's filthy and it'll get your costume dirty? Seriously -- thousands of people tramping through the BCC make the floors pretty gross by the end of the day, and that's assuming it's not icky out or nobody has stepped in anything. When you're all gone at the end of the very long day, around 3am, a team of cleaners tackles the cleaning chores and they scrub that carpet every night with this huge beast of a machine. But it gets pretty filthy again very quickly.

well, my costume's pretty........well, obviously a costume, so i hope i get left alone
