best thing to use for first time amv makers cuz of it's simplicity is "Windows Movie Maker" it is a standard program on windows. But with its simplicity comes drawbacks and that is that some program files won't work but if you have vista I think the majority of video files work. I really can't tell ya cuz I only use WMM for my noncontest videos and use Adobe Premiere for contest. I just checked it and mp4 works on vista WMM I am not sure of XP though.

Yea I agree with everyone else, it really is about having fun with the anime and with the people that you show it to. I can tell ya I have met a couple of my fans in real life and when a total stranger turns around and says they love this one video and it always cuz them to cry, laugh, have a good day, etc. You really do get a good feeling about what you do and makes you want to do it more and more. Also I do the mental storyboarding thing also if it looks awesome in your head and you really enjoy it then make it and push it out the door cuz more then likely just about everyone else wi

I am kinda on the Old Timers band wagon also my first anime that I ever saw was "Ghost in the Shell" but mostly watched hentai when I was first getting into anime mainly cuz I didn't know the difference so I saw movies like "Cool Devices", "Legend of the Overfiend". I am slo glad that this thread was started cuz I am cosplaying for first time this year also and I was just going to bring a change of clothes and the costume. But now I know to bring let three sets of clothes and the costume. Also is underarmor brand shirts do they do the infamous clothing roll while wearing them.
