I've altered my boot-slippers to be red boots. Can I wear slippers in the convention center? And, on that topic, how clean's the floor? Thanks.

I did read the information about the Masquerade rules and regs, but I'm really lost anyway. (Complete newbie, as if it weren't obvious). Can we cosplay all three days? How do you sign up for the Fashion Show and Cosplay Contest? And what, exactly, is the Masquerade? Sorry if the answers are obvious, but I can't seem to find them.
