im finding it hard to belive they have no dates available for monday, is there some event we don't know about happening on monday?
Aren't Otakon rates usually for thurs, fri, sat, and sun nights? From what I can recall, monday night doesn't have otakon special rates.
was able to get it for the holiday inn this year, plus a good number of people don't leave sunday, some got long drives that they rather not do on sunday

That didn't quite seem professional or informative enough for me. If he had even said something like "Sorry the tickets were all gone" and lied about it I would never have known and would have been satisfied. Ok, maybe upset that I missed out on it, but not pissed off by some 2 bit ambiguous answer.

There is a number listed on the passkey site and others on the boards have mentioned that they were able to call & book over the phone.

for some reason vulkurt, alot of the hotels dont have monday as being under the otakon rate, i really really really hope this is fixed soon.
take monday off and 7 hotels pop up

Interesting. I just read what the admin said and apparantly Otakon is reserving that block for staff, guests, etc. I don't blame them.

I really don't understand why people get so upset and start going on about how unfair it is that this or that hotel is booked.

I just called. The only hotel the rep said they expect to sign up soon was the Days Inn. However no actual date time they would appear on the site.
Also, she didn't hear about someone bulk reserving rooms.

this is already being discussed in the "reserving hotel blocks" thread, as far the best idea ever, theres alot of people that beg to differ and theres a major problem right now with room scalpers that where reserving rooms right when the con started

also i forgot to mention another problem that arose while i was leaving the hotel. i found out that the hotels where handing out slips of paper with the cons dates for next year. they started handing these out friday. now why the heck did i have to wait till sunday for my chance to book a hotel room, but some nitwit had to give the dates for next years con with the number to call to reserve it to some people that are already reserving bulk rooms for purposes of scalping?

im not a big fan of cash, so i only have it with me when i need it. i usually carry my wachovia check card and an extra credit for emergency purposes. if i do need cash, ill find an atm somewhere.
