I've been watching Pani Poni Dash lately, since it gives my brain a rest from pre-con preparations.

I'm watching Slayers NEXT right now.

The majority of my cosplays tend to be pretty obscure, both because my tastes in anime run on the less-mainstream side and because I tend to like the secondary characters more anyway. What's worse, a LOT of those costumes are not only hard to recognize, they're made out of "normal" clothes, so a lot of people don't even realize it's a costume at all! Naota's Dad from FLCL and Stoner from Eureka Seven are both perfect examples of that. I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I dream about anime conventions on a regular basis. Like, every couple of weeks at least. They always end the same, slightly amusing way: I start to wake up enough to remember that I didn't spend the previous week or two getting ready for a con, start freaking out over how I managed to actually SHOW UP before remembering this, realize it can't actually be happening, and wake up.

Holy cow, people are actually READING it! YAY!!! Thanks for all the kind feedback! -
Conventional Wisdom, a not entierly accurate and rather exageratied version of what Otakon 2008 was like for me. (Oh, if you want to get a more realistic version of what happened all weeked, you could always read My Otakon Convention Journal, but that's, you know, READING...)
