  1. yes, but otakon is also 4-5 times the attendance size of katsucon
  2. katsucon has had their rave in the hotel ballroom for years now. as far as i know there havnt been any real problems.
  3. I can't seem to find the edit button. Here are 2 new links for the set. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E3GKX8L7 https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01ITmZYQzNRYSt4dnc9PQ
  4. ill be home in a few days. ill reup it elsewhere when i get back
  5. Hey Guys, I was the DJ in the Side Room Friday 9-10:30. What a kickin crowd! I have recorded a reconstruction of the set I played. This is not a live recording from Otakon, but the song structure remains the same. There are only a few differences here and there. Enjoy! Download www.myspace.com/hi5md
  6. someone selling electronic/dance music on cd and vinyl
  7. suggestion: get the guy who did the visuals at the katsukon rave. or at least someone who can do the same. all he did was look up funny youtube vids and animated gifs. simple, but it was oh so entertaining
  8. if you cant link the dj mixes directly, maybe just a link to their website or myspace so people can do their own digging if not on the official otakon page, you can start a forum topic where DJs can request to be added to the first post. once a certain number of djs has been reached, a poll topic can open, and people can see the candidates, their websites, genres they play, etc and then vote at the top. after 2 or 3 months, the top 16 votes (or however many) are selected to play. if some cant make it at that point, they go on to the next most voted dj of course this is all speculatio
  9. maybe open up the DJ process by having all applicants' demos on the website and the DJs can be voted by congoers perhaps one big rave instead of a crowded hallway and side room? more cool lights and/or fog
