I'm not positive, but I believe the Marriott Marquis uses an underground lot. I've parked there for the past couple years (using their valet-only option) and when they take my car away it disappears down a ramp, and when my car appears for pickup it comes up that same ramp. I've also noticed that when the car arrives from the parking area, the inside is relatively cool even on a hot day, so it's probably underground away from the sun.
