I've been using iMovies for editing and it's been working really well for the most part. I've already pieced together about half a dozen different scenes from the series I'm using for my video and it's coming along great so far! The only problem is, for some reason, some of the clips aren't working. I'll select them and drag them up to the "project" window, just like I did with the working clips, and when I play the video to see if it's pieced together well, some of the clips simply won't play. It will just remain on the last clip that DID work until the video runs its course. I gathe

I've always appreciated AMVs but never thought I could make one...but I have movie editing software on my new laptop and I thought it'd be really fun to give it a try and see how it turns out. If I think it's all right, I'd love to enter it in the AMV contest. I have a song idea and an anime in mind, the entire series I own outright so getting footage won't be a problem Any advice for a newcomer thinking about throwing her hat with cat ears into the ring? It's unfortunate that they don't plug anime more, but honestly they'd have to have ratings to warrant spending the time/effort/money on promos. If anime fans made an effort to find out what new shows were coming, when new shows or favorites of theirs were on, etc and watched them accordingly, the outlook for anime on Adult Swim wouldn't be so grim. LOL ... but it's a really fun game! At first I thought it was a silly concept [Disney and Final Fantasy], but I gave it a shot and loved it. And I didn't like Voices of a Distance Star because I felt it was too melodramatic and depressing. I didnt feel good after watching that movie....

Besides all the many good reasons here not to go overboard on gift buying, it might make the other person feel like their affects are being bought. The best gifts are free. My guy passed by some gorgeous, huge wildflowers growing in a field on the drive to my house and picked me the most beautiful pink blossom. It didn't cost him a dime but the fact that he thought of me and stopped to pick me a flower meant more to me than anything he could buy me. Personally, I'm a modern girl. I like 50/50 splits when it comes to money ^^

While I'm 22 and decently mature and responsible, I can be very silly, loud, and immature when I'm having fun. However, I know when it's ok and when it's not.
