I have a lot of stuff to do like everybody else, but I almost forgot that I want to see Pineapple Express before Otakon too. I

I'll be doing the usual con routine, which is:
- wake up at 6:45-7:00AM
- shower
- (will have bags/food/everything else in the car the day before so I don't have to do this early in the morning)
- eat a lite breakfast (cereal probably)
- get gas (if needed)
- hit the road
- hopefully get down to Baltimore by 8:30-9:30AM
- park
- get in line for my badge
- enjoy the con!

Rita's is really really good. Water ice is an oxymoron though. For some reason thats really grating to me "Water ice". Why not just call it Rita's ice or Italian ice?
-
Even though this is very light (eating wise), I could not believe but Baltimore's Inner Harbor has a Rita's Water-ice shop. Didn't know Ritas extended that far down, I'll be hitting that place up a lot during the con.
OMG ..... i didn't know Ritas was in B'more i will need to go there get some Water-ice i love that place

However, if the O's game goes late, as per MTA policy, you're in luck for about an hour after the final out.

I was looking through past Otakon stuff and I was really wondering what ever happen to my favorite dealer in the dealer's room, BuyriteDVD!? What ever happen to these guys? They weren't at Otakon last year, plus I don't think they will be here this year either. For people who may not know, they were the dealer group that sold the DVD boxsets for $15-30 bucks plus single DVDs for $5. They were amazing to say the least. Anybody know why they stopped coming?

I remember one year, I think it was 2005 or 2006 where the Orioles were playing, the Ravens were playing the Eagles in pre-season and the COn was happening all on the same block.

Yeah, talk about bad timing . I just found out that Tony Hadley and John Keeble (since John Keeble is part of Tony Hadley's band) - people who loved the British New Romantic music of the 80's will know who I'm talking about - will be having a concert in Manila on August 9th. Now that's bad timing. Oh well...

Personally I love it when other events (besides Otakon) are going on! Adds more liveliness to the city of Baltimore, plus it

I was just in downtown Baltimore tonight and the parking lot I parked my car in was $22 bucks for over three hours. I looked around at other lots while I was walking around the city, and most ranged from $18-25. Prices probably will rise though in the middle of the summer.

Question, does Wawa extend down to Baltimore? Or anywhere near Baltimore?

I'm sorry if my information on CPM is wrong, but according to

I was wondering this myself, but Expo and Otakon are the two biggest anime cons in the country, so they will show up probably! We all know though Geneon/Central Park Media won

IMO, is it me, or does every year the pre-reg line get longer on Friday? Last year was insane; the line was completely all around the BCC. 2006 was long, but not that long. Same with all the other years (IMO), but to answer your question, I take pictures of cosplayers when they walk by and I usually talk to people in front or behind me, and ask them what are they looking forward too, etc. Passes the time greatly!
EDIT: I usually ask (people with badges) what the badge selections are, to save me time when I get to the desk.

I really did enjoy Zabi Zabi. I would always go there and take my food back to the comforts of my hotel room, and just enjoy myself there. Shame it closed up, the best month of business for them was probably the month of Otakon.
Hey though, is the pizza place across from them still there? Or is the Salad Works in the gallery mall still there too?
-
I would also like to note too, that at all my hotel stays, I never encounter a problem with other Otakon members causing problems. Although if I did, I would tell them to cut out the monkey business.
Well, you've stayed at the 2 very "posh" hotel in the area. Meaning that if there is any a hint of trouble, they would have taking care of it before you know it.

Each anime is unique in its own respect, and brings something new to the table, whether we like it or not. I

Hotels will correct the problems you encounter but sometimes you must really address the problem with them or their main branch.
From my personal experiences with the Inner Harbor hotels, I never had any major problems (I

With a lot of different shows coming out this year, plus many new ones in Japan, the possibilities could be endless! Personally, I would like to see a Gundam 00 or MS Igloo badge. Speed Racer would be awesome too. MGS though would be...EPIC!

I reserved a hotel room for Otakon 06 and checked in and everything despite being underage. But hey, that was then.
And if I recall, you were 17 going on 18 or something like that. Big difference from being a 13 year old and trying to do the same thing.

Since I finally got a room now at the Holiday Inn now, Iām extremely relived.
Though from my hotel calls I got this:
Sheraton Inner Harbor ā sold out
Hyatt ā sold out
Marriot Inner Harbor ā sold out, person on the line also told me entire hotel was sold out too.
Schedule up, what now?
