  5. Hello everyone!!! For those who don't know me, I do the "Where to Eat for Otakon" videos every year on my YouTube channel, "The Unagi Observer". And as we get closer to Otakon, I would like to invite you all to On-Con 8 in the meantime! It's an online convention I've been a part of for the past year or so and it's a lot of fun! If you would like to know more about it, I have a video for you at my channel where I kind of explain it and talk a smidge about what is being presented! Here's the link: https://youtu.be/9C6V1r0woLE AND THE BEST PART IS THAT IT IS FREE!!!! Or,
  6. Alright! This is the last Where to Eat for Otakon for 2021! Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to make it even for one day, but I hope the rest of you have a GREAT time! Also, a buddy of mine is doing THREE panels there this year! His name is Brent P. Newhall, please go to his panels and show him some love! Without further ado.... https://youtu.be/wKiARObWMgU
  7. Alright folks, here is Part Two! About how to get to and around the city!!! Next week will be about the food! Thank you for watching!! https://youtu.be/g5_BxjJtfac
  8. @Revan It's been some time since I've been there, but I remember it being good! If it helps, reviews appear to be pretty positive for the most part. Hmmm...when I hit town this weekend, I just may eat there... As far the alcohol goes, I am assuming you mean the Safeway in DC. Safeway doesn't carry beer or wine in MD for the most part (except for one or two in Montgomery County and possibly somewhere on the eastern shore) like most grocery chains. You will be able to check out at any register...however...if you go to the self check out, once you scan the beer/wine, everything stops u

Without further ado.... Where to Eat for Otakon 2021, Part One

  11. While I'm glad that Otakon is doing an online event, I still miss doing the "Where to Eat for Otakon" videos I usually do around this time. So, I decided to put together some memories of the past at Otakon, notably between 2013 and 2017. Part One is all about the Pre-Reg lines and Matsuri festivals. A nice look into the past. Next week will be part two, full of the con itself. Please click the link and enjoy! Otakon: Do You Remember the Sweat? Part One: https://youtu.be/DQmv_tdaSUs

  18. So, every year I do these "Where to Eat for Otakon" videos that talk about where to find food, stores, ATM's and general information of the area. Those videos are coming up in July, but in the meantime, I made this Pre-Otakon Tip video for those of you who may not have a place to stay yet (you know who you are)... https://youtu.be/q11mnDKwgiE
  19. For the most part, Baltimore enjoys the presence of Otakon. Almost everyone knows about the one time during the summer where people dress up in costumes during the hottest time of the year, even if they don't know that it is specifically Otakon. For years, I wasn't able to go due to my job at the time (used to work in theatre and opera for a long time) because of the schedule I had to keep. In case you haven't noticed, but part of the reason for the heavy trraffic in the past was largely due to people like me slowling down to get a better look. I think that for the average Baltimorean,
  20. Grave of the Fireflies - I know a few have mentioned this already, but it is an amazing movie, but you can't be a human being if you don't get a lump in your throat. But a must see if you haven't already. Fullmetal Alchemist- Huges funeral, need I say more? Trigun - Wolfwood's death. Mobile Suit Gundam 0080, War in the Pocket - When very young Al realizes the cost of war and starts crying hysterically in front of his classmates.
