  1. I got mine at a midnight release Sunday morning. I love it. So far I've stuck with Zelda as my main character (she was my main character in Melee). I'm still unlocking all the characters (I had to let my son play some yesterday so I am a bit behind).
  2. When I went to Otakon originally, I would get the PCB after it was over. Usually by the time I got home after dropping everyone else off, I would just sit and relax for a bit and start planning for next year. Last year, after being a gofer and being the first one in my room up and out every morning and the last one back and in bed every night, I was relieved when I hit my pillow and realized that I didn't have to get up early the next morning. I had the PCB again, but this time it was more about the people I had met as a gofer that I wasn't going to see again for awhile. This year...
  3. I had all of the original Care Bears..they were my favorite (still are). I also had a ton of Barbie stuff...the mansion, the pink Corvette, and another house. I gave it all to my little cousin years ago. My frist console was an Atari 2600. Ohh, and I had a ton of legos as well (still have them). I also have a rekindled love for Lincoln Logs and TinkerToys thanks to my son.
  4. The people. I love seeing everyone there and it's amazing who you can run into at Otakon.
  5. I don't really give myself a budget, but with being a gofer last year, I didn't get to the Dealer's room too often so I didn't spend anywhere near as much as I thought I would.
  6. I try to get into Baltimore around lunch time on Thursday. I stay up until whenever Thursday night and then get up around 5:30 am or so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning. I usually go to bed around 2:30am, though some nights I stay up all night.
  7. I might be going to AUSA. It just depends on what's going on with work.
  8. 2006: Drove a car full of my friends down at 2am Friday morning. 2007: Drove one of my friends down Thursday afternoon. 2008: I'll be driving once again, but I'm not sure who will be with me yet.
  9. An unlimited budget would be awesome as long as I had the time to go with it. On that note, the costumes I would have to go for would be: Chi from Chobits, Karin from Karin (Chibi Vampire), Yuko Ichihara from xxxHolic, Zelda (not sure which one yet), Malificent from Kingdom Hearts, Komuji from Nurse Witch, and probably a ton more once those were done.
  10. I'll have a game to play on my PSP again!! That's awesome. I'll definatley be getting all 3 of these as long as I can get the cell phone one.
  11. That video was cute. Anyway...today (or actually yesterday now since it's after midnight) I went to class (my last lecture, yay!!) and then came home and did absolutely nothing except relax and watch t.v. It was a nice change of pace.
  12. There is a chance that you could call next year and manage to get a room...afterall most people are booking rooms just in case they are able to go. There are always cancellations.
  13. So has anyone actually gotten a call from the Days Inn yet?
  14. Thanks for the heads up. I just booked a room there, so I'm going to cancel my Radisson reservation.
  15. I just booked my room at the Radisson Plaza. They said the only rooms they have left are 1 bed...which is fine because as far as I know, it'll probably just be me and maybe one other person.
  16. It is, if it was only use going to the convention. If it was just me and my sister then yeah we would stay near the convention. The only reason we are not near the convention because our mother comes with us and she doesnt attend the con. So staying in the area of Downtown there is kind of pointless cause where my mom goes is not near the con. To be honest if and when we go out to Otakon on our own, we most likely will be staying near the convention or when they finish the hotel connected to the center then we will stay there. If I had a free ride to and from the BCC every day, I'd proba

  18. It is nice to be able to walk across the street if you need to get back to your room for anything. Not to mention parking can be a pain if you are trying to drive in every day.
  19. I love being a night person. I barely even see the sun...let along feel the heat. Though I've heard it's been getting cooler lately.
  20. Not sure if I should suggest this here or start a new topic, but what about having a formal as well. Maybe substitute it for one nights rave or hold it in another area??
  21. I called Days earlier and they told me they still only had the list and hadn't started the reservations yet. Holiday Inn told me to call back in September. Radisson said they have Thursday and Friday night available, but no Saturday nights available. Sheraton has rooms available. The non-con rate is 359.95 per night.
  22. I'm still going to try it tonight.
  23. I'm planning to call at midnight...but I have a feeling so are a lot of other people. None the less...I'll be up all night since I'll be at work. So I'm bound to get through at some point.
