gordon... you are so smart it scares me but you are absolutely right the chances of finding love at a con is very slim, but the chances of making a connection that could lead to love is fair at best . i feel the best bet is to find some one who is either going or has an interest and talk to them, if i may suggest starting a thread where you exchange myspaces, aim or so on's.
just remember guys you don't find love, one day you realize it has found you

what i would love to see either a zombie chase or for some strange reason a zombie jehovas witness

ive wanted to do this for a while but the only idea i could come up with to look half decent is to take one of those guy s riding an ostrich costume and replacing it with a chocobo

Can anyone go to Edo's Sushi?? I'd like to meet some Otakus this year so I might bring a friend Thursday night if I can get her outta bed.
-
It really doesnt matter where you meet them though, or what race you are for that matter. If you have a connection of some kind, and you like each other then that's great!
Exactly. Wish my bf's mom would realize that. But I lose points with her just because I'm white. x.x

So I found out my passion in life is giving people bruises, cuts, scars, bite marks, etc etc.
These are the injuries I gave Ed from Full Metal Alchemist at Anime Central a couple weeks ago:

and

... Envy finally killed Ed:

And for NANA fans... Nana kicked Nobu in the face... again:

So I'm going to be running around the con giving away bruises for anybody that wants one.
I'll be cosplaying as Dante from Full Metal Alchemist with deteriorating flesh exposed at the side of the dress and coming up along side the neck (and face if I feel like going all out). I'll be carrying a black box with a white skull on the side of it carrying my make up. If you want one, don't be afraid to ask. They're free.
If you want something more extensive like open wounds or so forth, give me a PM on here so we can discuss the details and set up a time and place to meet up because the more extensive stuff takes a lot more time.
::NOTE:: Anything extensive, such as open wounds, require the use of liquid latex. If you have an allergy, all I can offer you are bruises and bandaged extensive injuries (like Ed's leg). Anybody that wants something requiring liquid latex will be required to sign a liability waver and anybody under 18 will need their parent's signature.
One thing that I do ask in return is to allow me to take a photo of the finished product for my portfolio.
Thank you and look forward to seeing you all soon!

I've never looked for love at Otakon though I was trying to help my friend look for a nice girl at another con. I really didn't have to help him, as there were actually quite a few girls giving him the opportunity to initiate a conversation, but he was too scared to do anything

Since I live right outside of Washington DC, the trip doesn't take long. I usually arrive a little early to do some sightseeing. Last year it was the Aquarium. Not sure where I'll end up this year. Then off to Inner Harbor for lunch. Check into the hotel and then head over to the convention center, camera in hand to take pics of the line and any cosplayers. Then dinner before getting in line around 6:30 or 7:00.
I think a sushi meet up would be something I'd enjoy attending. This will be my 10th straight Otakon and I want it to be the most memorable...next to making it into the L'arc concert near the front AND being in the dvd.
Whoever is organizing the sushi/sake meet-up on Thursday night should keep in touch with everyone who's interested in going...... maybe via AIM. and then closer to the con date via textmessages. I definately want to come! I've actually never been to a sushi bar and I've never tried sake. WOW...... just saying that makes me feel like a newbie. Trust me, I am NOT a newbie
