Hey everybody!

I'm an historian and author of popular culture history; comics, pulp, anime, and more. Two time Eisner Award finalist (but not actually winner, as my friends constantly remind me....)

I hope to make one of my next works a history of anime fandom in the United States.

Otakon 1998-2009; haven't been in a while, but looking forward to coming back this year!

I've been on here off and on since 1998, but lapsed within the last year or so; upon returning, I either couldn't remember my username, or email (could have been deleted, due to inactivity, for all I know) - so, just registered again!
