I'm a complete pervert

My wife and I will be attending Otakon--and Baltimore--for the first time this year! Here's my question: Is safely driving/navigating the area near the Baltimore Convention Center possible? We've driven in Boston, Philly, and so forth with no problems, but NYC was a NIGHTMARE to drive in. Our hotel is only a block or two from the BCC--should we be able to reach it okay?

-Convention Stats-
Do you go to panels? This will be my first Otakon, but I am a vet of other cons, and usually try and attend all the ones over here in Australia and at least one OS one a year.
Do you attend the dances/raves? Depends.
Do you spend any time gaming? Again, depends on what games are there.
Do you participate or go to the masquerade? I have before over here In Oz.
Do you cosplay? Yes.
Are you staffing or volunteering at the con? No, would like to, but can't work on a holiday visa.
What do you spend most of your time doing while attending the convention? Mainly walking around seeing the con, raiding the dealers room, attending the odd forum and taking photo's.

The list is a good idea. Dealers count on people not making lists and then impulse buying (I know, I was a dealer at several cons over here in Oz.)
The credit crunch has also helped alot with flights. Last year the flight I am taking to NYC cost AUD $2900 where today when I booked my flights it cost me a little over AUD $1000.

This will be my first year as well. Although I am not a con newbie (I have been to Supanova, Animania, Smash, AI-con, AV-con, (all Australian cons) comic con in San Diego, Comiket in Tokyo and Wonderfest also in Tokyo.), it is my first time to Otakon. Been trying to get to Otakon for years now, and this year it seems that everything falls into place correctly.
Wow, that is impressive.
So in other words you are coming all the way from Australia?
That's got to be one heck of a plane ride!

- Fan Fiction writer.
- Violence loving super dyke

The rest are just no.
All in all, thanks for the laugh.

When I do road trips down to Aussie cons (since it is a tad hard to drive to US cons) I usually have a mixture of music. Every thing from Men at work, to AC\DC to Cake, to Dido and Weird Al. The thing that kept me awake the most on flights to con's is remembering that I forgot to pack the MRE's so I could avoid airline food!

Friday: Rock from Black Lagoon
Saturday: Hayate Ayasaki from Hayate no Gotoku!
Sunday: Atsushi Dojo from Toshokan SensÅ (Library War)

Seems like another thing for this first time Otakon'er to go and check out...the easiest way to spot me will be the Aussie accent.
