I'm in desperate need to find 2 HONEST & HARD-WORKING people who has an easy and fun personality! I prefer 2 girls (sorry fellas) since I have 5 guys working the booth and only 1 girl to balance out the sexes. BUT on the otherhand it is not a definite. Basically what it comes down to is how well you will be able to mesh with everyone in my group. So guys can apply BUT females are first choice. If you are a girl who thinks she's all that or HOT! then you need not apply cuz I could care less about looks and all of the guys helping are attached so it really doesn't matter. What REALLY matters is whether you will be able to work and get along together. So all you ladies who are interested just be yourself and be honest when you apply and if possible please send me pics of you (cosplay+). The reason I need pics is because I can't physically meet you beforehand and I really want to know if it will work out or not. My friends who are helping me out are more important to me so if they are not happy with the new helper then I won't be either. Please do not take this personal or a cheap way for me to take pleasure, this is STRICTLY business, no personal info or pics will be viewed to anyone but me. I've been in retail business for over 20 years and my helpers are my dearest friends (of which are 18 - 21+) so I want to be able to work as a unit. I don't want the 2 possible volunteers to be miserable or lonely while at the booth or room, that is the reason why I need to know if it will work out for everyone. To get a feel of what my friends are like they luv video games, asian live action movies, hentai, raves, beer, dances and of course anime! They are not Party animals but then again they are not Geeks and they are definitely not Sex Perverts! They luv to chit-chat and spark interesting conversations. So for example if your personality is like Pokemon or Power Rangers then please do not apply, but if you are more like Death Note, Bleach, Fruits Basket, Please Teacher!, Family Guy type of person then please signup! Now that is said and done I guess you sorta want to know the details: The requirements: 1) Must be at least 16 years of age to work at booth, no minors allow in the hotel without a written consent from an adult. I prefer 18 yrs +. 2) Must work on Friday starting at 12pm and for a total of at least 4 hours that day, at least 4 hours on Saturday, 2 hours Sunday. I can be flexible with the hours depending on how busy it gets and the amount of people I have in the booth. 3) Must be Honest and Hard working and be able to handle the customers, for those who have been to cons you know how crazy it can get! Anyone who is caught stealing will be prosecuted! Be forewarned!! The benefits: 1) Free room, but no bed so bring a sleeping bag or blanket. You can even stay on Thursday! 2) Free Dealer's badge! Which gives you full access to anywhere in the convention and the best part of it is that you get to shop early!! Most dealers will sell to you before the con starts and you may even get a dealer's discount if mentioned. 3) Free Drinks and snacks and possibly Dinner (takeout!) I will even have Pocky for my helpers! 4) Huge discounts on any merchandise in my booth, excluding CD's and DVD's. So for someone who's trying to save on costs this is a great way cuz you will be saving at least $200 for only apprx. 10 hours of volunteer help. So please submit your info and whatever you want to improve your chances of getting chosen, the more you submit the more I will know of you. For all those applicants who don't get elected will get a 10% discount off any merchandise in my booth excluding CD's and DVD's. For those that sorta know me, I'm the guy with the Plushes (Naruto, Mario, Etc.) recently at Animenext. This time around I'm bringing figures, t-shirts, and leftover stock of CD's and DVD's (older and used ones) and misc. nic-nacs. The chosen applicants will be notified on Tuesday no later than midnight. Plus, I don't want girls calling me a sexiest for only having just guys work the booth. I personally really don't care whether you are male or female. What really counts is whether you are an honest and hard working person who enjoys cons like we do. Please keep in mind that signups are for serious people who want to apply for a volunteer position and not just to get a 10% discount. I will be taking all applications MALE or FEMALE! This looks like it would have been an awesome opportunity for me. ;_; But it's such short notice and I really don't have the time available at work (due to them reworking the PTO program ). I recently had to cancel my plans for Otakon. I was all set to go, but then I suddenly found out I had to move because my landlord was going into foreclosure. There's a pic of me in the member's profile. (I'm the Asian one.) I turned 18 this year, and I'm pretty easy-going. Be sure to check the General Topics forum for my new post!! This time around I will be accepting Male and Female for either Part-time or Full-time positions. However, it's limited since 4 people that helped volunteer at NYAF 08' wants to help me out for this con so that will only leave 5 spots!!! I will be at AnimeUSA and Zenkaikon.
