ota_retired 6
Who remembers the original Doom series? I recently read "Origins of Doom" which is a really good book that outlines the history of John Romero and John Carmack as they went from their early games (Commander Keen, anyone?) to the highly successful Doom trilogy. Anywho, the book made me want to play through the other 3 episodes on the original Doom as well as Doom 2 and maybe Plutonia. Doom 3 never really caught my interest, it seems overdone and looks like a mediocre fps. So since I'm not going to Otakon, I'm spending between now and the first day of my new job trying to finish the original Doom series. >x3 Anyone else enjoy the old Doom games? Mailbox 0
I wouldn't judge Doom 3 from just a viewing perspective. Play it. It's pretty scary. I mean if you are 3 hrs into it and still not having fun then you haven't lost out on anything. but not playing it when you actually might like it would be a waste.
