I was wondering if there were any people who actually lives somewhat near me to talk to and maybe hang out a little at the con? I'm just gonna save as much as I can for random dealer's room shopping at Otakon. If you are looking to meet some otakus in your area, you should check out the Delaware Anime Society (www.delawareanimesociety.com). We have three chapters in Wilmington DE, Dover DE, and Willow Grove PA (Philadelphia suburbs). We meet once a moth at each chapter to watch anime, play games, and generally hang out with another. We also run several "mini-cons" each year around the holidays (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween), one full annual convention (Zenkaikon - www.zenkaikon.com), trips to other area cons, and other activities. There are no dues or other requirements to join. If you are interested in checking it out, I would recommend joining our mailing list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/delawareanimesociety since that is where we tend to hang out the most Hope this helps, and maybe we will see you at a future meeting!
