mailechan 0
Otakorp, in conjunction with the Japan Information and Culture Center and the Smithsonian Instutute, is pleased to announce the Seventh Annual National Cherry Blossom Festival Anime Marathon on Saturday, March 28th. The marathon will take place at the Meyer Auditorium located in the Freer Gallery of Art on the Mall. Parking can be hard to come by, so I would recommend taking the Metro to the Smithsonian stop. The films listed for this year are: Animal Treasure Island (Dubbed) Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone (Subtitled) Vexille (Subtitled) The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Subtitled) The marathon will start at 11:00am. Tickets are free and can be picked up starting at 10:30am for the first show. Some advance tickets for the later shows will be available at the same time, but only a portion will be given out early. The rest of the tickets will be distributed 1/2 hour prior to each showing. Also at the Freer, the DC Anime Club will be holding presentations and slide shows on cosplay throughout the day. Their schedule will be listed soon.
