Staff/Gofer/Etc. Shout Out Thread 2018

Recommended Posts

I figure this sort of thing can go into a general feedback thread (along with any negative staff comments), and I'll probably relay this again tomorrow at the feedback panel-- but thank you very much to a particular staff member who was helping out at the Voice Actors panel tonight up on the third floor. Didn't catch his name, but he was a bearded man, Caucasian,  looks about mid 20s to early 30s, fairly tall, lanky- hope that narrows it down a tad. See, my sibling was having, what we thought at the time was a panic attack (but turned out to be a very bad reaction from a rancid smoothie from the Dealer's Room!) and needed to get back home (we live in Alexandria) promptly. Of course, she was a bit nervous, never having taken a taxi alone before, and we were in line at the time. More than willing to help get her home, of course, if she needed me, but that we were able to get her escorted by a staff member instead to the taxi pickup area was a GREAT help to both myself and her, seeing as we both have a lot of anxiety problems.

So just. Thank you thank you thank you for your generosity, kind sir!

Did you have any good staff or gofer or other volunteer experiences? Share with us! ^_^

The staffer who headed most of the kpop panels in Workshop 3 was the highlight if my con. She was so cool and into kpop and was genuinely excited when it came to the panels.  I accidentally walked in a full workshop ahead of people waiting to get in and she ok’d me and just let everyone in.

For real, thank you mam for making my Otakon 2018 super memorable and exciting!

There was a nice staff person I was standing next to in Kawamori’s line. He actually wasn’t working at the moment but getting an autograph too but he was a really friendly person to talk with during the wait.
