As we get closer and closer to Otakon, I'd like to take the opportunity to invite you to join the Unofficial Otakon Discord Server. It's a place where you can chat with your fellow Otakon members about Otakon, anime, games, or anything else you want to. You can join the Unofficial Otakon Discord Server with this invite link: https://discord.gg/wjrfMbH In the lead up to Otakon, the Discord server will be hosting a number of Community Events so members can get together in fun and fellowship. These kick off with an online group viewing of the 2016 film A Silent Voice tomorrow, 06/19/2019. In the following weeks, there will be viewings of Shin Godzilla, Your Name, and more. We'll also be having Jackbox Party Pack game nights to have fun playing games and defeating your fellow convention goers. Finally, we'll also be doing a showing of all the best AMVs from the Otakon AMV Contest over the past 13 years. Players are given a prompt, such as "Why Shinji really didn't want to get in the robot". Players then put down their funniest, wittiest, or whatever answer they think will get them the votes! The answers are put head to head and the best, or sometimes the worst, response wins! Win or lose, this is one event you won't want to miss, as Quiplash is already a fun time, so Quiplash + anime + Otakon should be an amazing time!
