Last minute things to do before Otakon

Recommended Posts

What are some things you need to get done before the con? I'm sure I don't have everything, but some things on my list are:
- Get tickets for the train to 30th Street Station
- Keep taking my Cold Eeze, etc. to try and bolster my immune system. (I've had too many cases of Con Plague to want it again.)
- Decide on something to read on the train trips. That and a couple of crossword puzzles should do me well.
- Get a couple of bottles of water for Thursday. I'm pretty sure the government would rather see me toting a nice, clear plastic bottle instead of my metal one into their museums.
- Check to see if a DC liquor store has restocked a particular spiced honey liqueur. (It's Murphy's Law - on Friday, the stock was 4 bottles, on Monday, they were sold out.) I want to pick it up to compare with another one I've recently purchased. For science.

I'm sure that's not everything. Maybe I'll remember more after work.

Just check, double check and triple check that I remembered to pack everything, since I packed a few days in advance. (And I usually forget something, a hair brush, pajama pants, but never tickets or anything super important, thankfully!!!) I'm going to be watching some movies on my laptop to keep me entrained on the train ride and perhaps some Left 4 Dead 2. :)

I like the idea of taking Cold Eze!  I might try something like that!

I will need to make sure I have all my meds ready.  I take a BUNCH of them!  I organize them into 3 sets of boxes marked for the day of the week.

1 for Am
1 for mid day
1 for bedtime.  Have to have something to help me sleep otherwise I will not sleep!

Got confirmation for my hotel.  Bought train ticket already!  Printed out confirmation for hotel.  Set up meeting time for traveling companion.  Packed all clothing already.  Packing clothing I can wash in hotel room and will dry quickly so I don't have to pack as many things.  Glasses case.   Sunscreen.  Will buy water bottle at train station and reuse it during the whole con.

Will need to add charging cords for my devices.
Will need to pack last minute night guard for my teeth because I grind them at night!
