  1. Team Fortress 2 cosplay ftw? I've got the jawline of the Soldier. MAGGOT!
  2. Another important thing to consider is don't do it unless you really want to. If you're gonna feel miserable after buying her that dress or that ring or what have you, she'll be able to tell right away and then you'll both be miserable and she'll feel bad and won't want to use/wear/etc the thing you gave her, which makes your half-hearted effort useless in the end. And above all.. an abundance of nice things can never amount to simply loving, caring, and spending time with your lover. Simple enough?
  3. My friend just invited me to go, but I haz skool in September, and as much as I hate to say it, conventions/concert things < school
  4. A panel on con greivances would be funny. There was an 18+ panel like that at Katsucon and it was all full of lulz.
  5. This game rocks. Especially if you have a good sound system on your PC and a huge monitor.
  6. If you shaved, you'd make an awesome Heihachi. But yeah. You don't wanna shave xD
  7. Pit is for noobs! >>; I played the japanese version at Katsucon and I must say I'm very excited. A friend and I are going to the midnight release at GameStop even though it's snowing 4 inches an hour here in Buffalo and probably won't stop until tomorrow night.
  8. Wearing the same cosplay for three days straight isn't exactly the greatest idea in the world, but if you want to keep it funk-free just make sure you don't do anything in it that will make you sweat a whole lot, and don't wear it all day long. Maybe change out of it mid-afternoon, or don't out it on right away and wear it through the evening. About 6 hours a day should be the maximum. Stay cool, try not to sweat, and if it starts to smell, just don't wear it anymore.
  9. That's why I wish more non-otaku came to Otakon. We're here to inform people of said culture. While sometimes the questioning can be rather jawdropping, when people on the street ask me "what's Anime?" I just tell them it's a japanese cartoon. I guess it comes from that longing most otaku have for more people to understand East Asian entertainment and culture. You're right, you can't really get mad or annoyed because it just shows you're intolerant and doesn't acheive anything.
  10. And they called me crazy when I reserved our rooms a year in advance. :] Um.. what exactly is VMF anyway?
  11. Ugh, I hate that. Whenever any of my mom's co-workers ask her what an anime convention is, she always says 'It's like a Trekkie convention. They all dress up; It's really cute!' It annoys me to no end, and she knows that.
  12. I'd say we could pretty much count on Death Note badges, guys. The series is already incredibly popular here in the states and it's only beginning to take off.
  13. I found love at Katsucon.. does that count? >>; Hmm, finding love at any con I think is pretty easy, provided you know what love is. Then again, I guess we all have different views of what love is to us. Anyway, if you look hard enough amongst the 20,000+ people that attend Otakon it's not really impossible to find someone you could take a liking to. Everyone's there for the same things, so finding someone who doesn't have something in common with you would be pretty tough. Keep in mind though, not everyone's there to find a soulmate.
  14. I know they fuse some J-Rock into the music at the KatsuRave, and I hear it sounds amazing.. perhaps the Otakon DJ's could learn a lesson or two?
  15. MeiQiao, your avatar is le pwn. Let me know when you decide to finalize the location and i'll be sure to take all kinds of pictures/get the whole thing on video.
